2024 Dream Study Seminar
Dream Study Seminar:
This series invites participants to explore the symbolic messages of the Self in a Jungian-based interactive way. Group members will have the opportunity to share, gain understanding, and make positive use of the contents of their dreams within the supportive circle of a confidential community of peers. Each participant will have one opportunity during the series to be the session’s dreamer, which involves sharing a dream and receiving thoughtful feedback from the group. Deep insight and illumination will surely come as we make use of the widely revered dreamwork practices described in Jeremy Taylor’s The Wisdom of Your Dreams. This process does not focus on dream interpretation or advice-giving between participants, but rather on the expansion of dream narratives and their messages, by way of discussing the feelings, associations, and subjective experiences of the group members.
This will be a dedicated group limited to 8 participants, meeting for 90 minutes over 9 bi-weekly Monday evening sessions (one initial introductory meeting for rapport-building and review of Jungian-based dream interpretation tenets, and eight interactive dreamwork sessions). This group process promises to be fun, rich, and rewarding! Facilitators Laura Hensley and Chris Dixon, are both licensed counselors with extensive experience in dreamwork facilitation as well as Jungian theory and practices. [Please note: This is a non-clinical process. It is NOT therapy, though it is likely to be therapeutic.]
